Maine Gets Big Grant to Promote Local History Print Email

Multi-Arts Space Planned in Historic Frank Jones Building Print Email

3S Artspace, a new New Hampshire nonprofit organization, has announced plans to establish a 300-person capacity flexible live performance venue, a large non-commercial art gallery, and a farm-to-table restaurant in downtown Portsmouth, NH. Slated to open in late 2011, current plans for the venue call for the organization to occupy the first floor of the “Fermentation Building”, one of the currently vacant and soon-to-be-renovated historic Frank Jones Brewery buildings, located on Jewell Court, just off Islington Street in downtown Portsmouth. 70 Thousand Attended Blue Angels Air Show Print Email

August 2010 --  A weekend attendance estimated in excess of 70,000 (40,000 on Saturday, 30,000 on Sunday) showed up last weekend to watch the United States Navy Blue Angels along with a star-studded lineup of performers at the Boston – Portsmouth Air Show.  The Blue Angels headlined the 2010 Boston – Portsmouth Air Show Saturday and yesterday at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease. (Continued below)
