Sloan Wainwright, folk artist icon and member of the legendary folk music family including Loudon Wainwright, performs Monday, Oct 11 at a Columbus Day Pozi Concert at Unity on the River in Amesbury MA, 7-9 PM.  (Continued below)

At the Oct 11 event, Sloan Wainwright is joined by singer/song writer Daniel Nahmod of Los Angeles CA, Richard Mekdeci of Kansas and Sue Riley of Florida. Together on stage, these New Thought musicians bring the power of inspiring and uplifting lyrics, dynamic vocals and interesting instrumentation on guitar, piano and synthesize. 

Sloan’s folk legacy includes brother and folk music luminary Loudon Wainwright, sister-in-law Kate McGarrigle (of Kate and Anna McGarrigle fame whose songs were covered by Emmy Lou Harris, Linda Ronstandt, Dolly Parton and others), nephew Rufus Wainwright and nieces Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche.
