Unacceptable_LevelsThe Music Hall’s next Film Matters: Unacceptable Levels Tuesday November 13 at 7pm in the Historic Theater, focuses on the 80,000 chemicals in our system of commerce, and how some of those are going straight into our bodies. (continued below)

According to Chris Curtis, programming coordinator for The Music Hall, “The hallmark of our world class programming is its diversity – we just saw Lyle Lovett in concert, we can’t wait to laugh with Bill Cosby (11/11). And along with this, we have a provocative film and conversation series – Film Matters that marries a documentary on a global issue with a conversation with top experts who help us really make the issue local. With some amazing help from community partners, we've been able to assemble a powerhouse expert panel. Join us in engaging with the issues presented in the fils and then engage with your community in the post-film discussion.”

Film Matters: Unacceptable Levels Tuesday 11/13 7pm NR, 90 mins, US

Currently, there are over 80,000 chemicals in our system of commerce, and some of those are going straight into our bodies. Due to this constant exposure, we have approximately 200 synthetic industrial compounds that are interacting with our cells every single day. Until recently, modern science really didn’t understand what that could mean for all of us in the long run, but that dynamic is changing.  Unacceptable Levels opens the door to conversations about the chemical burden our bodies are being exposed to, so we can make informed decisions as we move forward. This film poses particular challenges to our companies, our government, and our society to do something about a nearly unseen threat with the inspired knowledge that small changes can create a massive impact.
