Thanks. My commitment to “branding” Washington in Portsmouth has been renewed. His Portsmouth story – including Lear, Langdon, and that amazing portrait – is worth telling again and again. And speaking of repeating Washingtons, here is a fascinating photo that was for sale recently in an online auction. The caption on the photo says it was staged on February 22, 1932 at the bicentennial of the birth of Washington at St. John’s Lodge in Portsmouth, NH.
