When you produce some of the region’s largest festivals, what do you in the months between the summer music series and First Night at Portsmouth? You present the second fundraising concert in the “unplugged” series on November 5. This time, Pro Portsmouth takes to Alemaker’s Hall at the Redhook Brewery with an indoor street concert. For an organization that has become synonymous with large-scale events' production,  this concert series, “unplugged: a Pro Portsmouth concert,”  represents a bit of a left turn. It is a much smaller, more intimate happening that will focus on some of the area's talent in one area’s premier brew pubs.  

The event, sponsored by Harbour Pointe Financial, Piast Technology, Piehead Productions and The Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside, features a bounty of local music: Acoustic Truffle, Peter Whitehead & EJ Ouellete of Crazy Maggy and Anthony Fiandaca.

Admission for the November 5 concert is $10; doors open at 6:30pm; concert begins at 7:00pm.  

Proceeds benefit the year-round programming of Pro Portsmouth. Pro Portsmouth, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and sustaining the vitality of Portsmouth's arts, culture and history through events and community collaboration. The 2011 program features First Night Portsmouth, Children’s Day, Market Square Day Festival & 10K Road Race and Summer in the Street.
