McCain Confirms Fake Republican Conspiracy

McCain Pins Old Man BomberWho destroyed the beloved Old Man of the Mountains? An exclusive NH Gazette video interview with Sen. John McCain offers a surprsingly candid -- though fake -- connection to the Bush Administration. This clip has to be seen to be believed.

UPDATE: The NH Gazette reports that 21,000 unique visitors responded to this non-news item the first day it appeared online.

With the media lobbing softball questions and politicians bunting safe replies, it is no wonder the news is bland. Enter Vermin Supreme, fake news reporter, street performance artist and presidential candidate. In a videotaped interview released this week, Supreme asks Senator John McCain (R-Ariz) point blank whether the destruction of the Old Man in the Mountains was a Republican conspiracy. Without hesitation, McCain confirmed that Karl Rove, top political advisor to President George Bush, did indeed dynamite the famous Granite State stone profile in retaliation for McCain’s popularity in New Hampshire..

Fake reporter Supreme, then offered the exclusive videotaped snippet to the New Hampshire Gazette, which promptly posted the interview online. Fake or not, it is rare to discover such candor in a modern day politician. The clip is a millstone (sic) in the Gazette’s ongoing effort to report on items overlooked by the mainstream media, whether true or not. And while the facts presented are admittedly false, they are certainly more believable than the official news currently being offered by the White House.

That, apparently, is the mission of Vermin Supreme, who the Boston Globe says "lives to mock the political system". A Globe feature published earlier this year, depicts Supreme dressed as an Egyptian Pharaoh, complete with wings and a golden calf. Wielding a bullhorn and wearing that outfit Supreme shouts into a crowd as a rally, "Vote for me. I’m running for …something."

Readers can see the exclusive McCain interview by Vermin Love Supreme (his real name) at the New Hampshire web site.
