In the midnight light of the Founders Lobby Lounge, lift a glass and take a peek into the mysteries of Iron Heart Circus – the secret stories that occur only behind the curtain. Two lustful clowns, one strapping strongman, and an irreconcilable attraction will be featured as Iron Heart Circus.

New Hampshire’s own burlesque/cabaret troupe joins us for a very special show. It’s all happening at the February Scene@Five in The Founders Lobby at The Music Hall, the landmark Victorian theatre in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday February 24, 2010 from 5-7pm.

IHC prides itself on bringing the best in live music, vaudeville, modern dance, and circus arts to the stage, dinner theatre and beyond. It is their mission to empower men and women in their sexuality through humor and artistic expression. IHC aids in the fight against breast cancer by donating a portion of each show to the Save-the-Tatas Foundation.

According to Chris Greiner, Associate Curator for Scene@Five, "We first were introduced to Iron Heart Circus when they performed for The Event earlier this winter, and knew immediately they’d be a perfect fit for the Scene@Five series. As you know, we like to keep the series edgy, and take advantage of the lobby to experiment with different programming ideas. I realize five o’clock isn’t the typical hour for burlesque, but we think it’s never too early for a little revelry."
