 Martin Sexton

Considered a folk, blues and jazz guitar master, Sexton uses his hands, feet and his phenomenal eight-octave voice range as both melody and percussion.  Using a distortion effect on a second microphone, the exceptional artist persuades his guitar to “sing” solos as his fingers dance on its strings.

With his first stop on Harvard Square in Cambridge MA as a street performer, Sexton’s remarkable musical journey has transported him to venues across the country including the celebrated Carnegie Hall.  His appearance on our stage features his newest album Sugarcoating.  Described by John Mayer as the “best live performer I’ve ever seen” Martin Sexton’s arrangements are superbly unpredictable and his live performances are simply supreme.
