CinderellaMARK YOUR CALENDAR

BJ's Wholesale Club and LG Electronics are pleased to present New Hampshire's premier ballet company, Northeastern Ballet Theatre in their production of "Cinderella" on April 6 at 7pm and April 7 at 2pm at OysterRiverHigh School in Durham, NH.  (Continued below)

This presentation of the classic Prokofiev ballet comes complete with a magical pumpkin carriage, bumbling stepsisters, a wickedly silly stepmother, dancing animals, ball guests, Prince Charming, and of course, a beautiful Cinderella.  After the April 7, 2pm show, there will be an opportunity to meet Cinderella, have photos taken with her, and get her autograph.

Come dressed as your favorite princess for the occasion. Playing the role of Cinderella is Elizabeth Stevens of Rochester.  Elizabeth Stevens was born and grew up in Pakistan with two brothers, two sisters, and extremely supportive parents. In 5th grade, she went to boarding school in the Himalayas with her older sister where she lived and studied away from her parents for a year. Elizabeth and her family returned to America in 2007 and she was immediately plugged into ballet with Northeastern Ballet Theatre at 11 years old.

Because of her passion for dance, she quickly improved and became part of the company within a year. She has now been dancing with Edra Toth for five years and has performed such roles as the Snow Queen and the Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Elizabeth is currently a junior at Portsmouth Christian Academy in Dover. Prince Charming will be played by John Ling of Moultonboro.  In his seventh year with Northeastern Ballet Theatre, and an integral part of Edra Toth's Academy of Dance and Music (the training school for Northeastern Ballet Theatre located in Wolfeboro and Dover), Mr. Ling brings a quality and level of professionalism not only in his classes, but also in the performances he dances.  Performing principal and guest artist roles in such classics as The Nutcracker and La Corsaire Pas de Deaux, to more contemporary choreography, Mr. Ling's career has spanned several professional dance companies which include The Lumiere Ballet, The Eglevsky Ballet, New york Dance theater, Granite State Ballet an numerous ballroom and jazz companies. John trained with the NY Joffrey Ballet School as well as NY Conservatory, among others.  He has also appeared in musicals such as 42nd Street, Kismet,  and A Chorus Line.  Mr. Ling currently serves as the head of the dance department at Wolfeboro's Brewster Academy.  Tickets for "Cinderella" are $16.50-adults, $14.00 - children 12 and under/seniors, $50 - family pack (2 adults, 2 children).  There are also group tickets available for $10/ticket by calling (603) 834-8834.  For more information and tickets please call (603) 834-8834 or visit www.northeasternballet.org.
