Olivia visits Dover Museum
oliviaOlivia, the precocious piglet who stars in her own book series, will visit the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire on Saturday, March 13 from 10 am – 2 pm as part of the Books Alive! children’s literacy program.

During this Books Alive! event, museum staff will be reading Olivia stories by author Ian Falconer for groups of children throughout the day, and costumed character Olivia will make frequent appearances to meet children and exchange hugs or high fives.

There will also be related creative literacy activities for families to enjoy together, including making pig noses to wear, doing piggy math, and learning fun facts about pigs. All Books Alive! activities are included in regular paid admission to the museum: $8 for adults & children, $7 for seniors, and free for children under age 1 and museum members. 

The next Books Alive! event is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 and will feature a visit from colossal canine Clifford The Big Red Dog. 

About the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire

The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is located at 6 Washington Street in Dover and offers two levels of hands-on, custom-created exhibits for children ages 1-12. Children can explore a wide range of subjects, from dinosaurs, music and aeronautics to world cultures, art and natural history.
