A Dickens’ of a Christmas, written by George Hosker-Bouley, will return for its 11th year at the Old Salt Restaurant, Lafayette Road, Hampton. Performances are December 10,17,18. Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6pm show. (Click title to read more) 

The evening includes a gourmet three-course dinner, live music, holiday carols and the show. Tickets are $39.99 per person (does not include tax or gratuity) and must be reserved by calling the Old Salt Restaurant at 603-926-0330. Seating is limited.

Befuddled with writers block, a concerned Charles Dickens wonders what gift he should give his children for the holiday. After deciding to give them a story the well of ideas runs dry as Dickens discusses his troubles with his friends, all of whom appear in the classic tale. The production is complimented with original music and classic holiday songs

The production is presented by Carpe Diem, Hosker-Bouley’s award winning company that has been producing award-winning original theater for more than 20 years as well as the ever-popular Portsmouth Underbelly Tour. As Artistic and Executive of the Prescott Park Arts festival for more than 13 seasons, Hosker blended traditional stories with a wry sense of humor.
