    Recently renovated park and boat launch, on Mill Pond Rd. and Rt. 108. Durham. Mill Pond offers good viewing of swans and other wildlife. Winter skating. Free. MAP

  • Fort Constitution State Park
    Historic fort (ca. 1632) with good views of shipping lanes and Whaleback Light. Previously Fort William and Mary. Adjacent to the Coast Guard Station just off Route 1B. New Castle. Free. MAP

  • Fort Stark

  • Garrison Hill Tower

    4,800 acre, scenic tidal inlet offering excellent boating, fishing and wildlife viewing. 48 miles of shoreline. Bordered by Dover, Durham, Newmarket, Greenland, Newfields, Stratham and Newington.   • Harbour Place Walkway

  • Isles of Shoals and White Island Lighthouse
    Scenic islands 9 miles off the coast. Private hotel located on Star Island. Marine Lab and Celia Thaxter's historic restored garden located on Appledore Island. Lighthouse on White Island.
