Strawbery Banke Presents
HISTORIC PORTSMOUTH #78
It still looks much as it did in the horse-and-buggy era. Signs are visible for Sam Lee’s Chinese Laundry and Parmenter’s Dry Goods and Small Wares. A bicycle shop is located near the North Church beyond the sign for W. I. Trafton & Sons, Electricians. A hand-painted notice below reads "Great Sacrifice of Watches and Jewelry" in a "Closing Out Sale". The Traftons moved just a block away.
