Their advertisement read, " The fashionable, finely stocked and largely patronized shoe store of Duncan & Storer was founded 20 years ago and came under the present firm's proprietorship in 1903. Unrivaled in reputation for reliability of service, high-grade goods and low prices, it successfully competes with all similar stores in our city, and does an annual volume of business second to none." Today, the coffee shop, Breaking New Grounds, occupies the building. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Govoni, Breaking New Grounds is a specialty store serving coffee and tea, cappuccino, expresso and a wide selection of pastries.
