heartWhitney Smith walks alone onto the stage at The Players’ Ring, holding her pregnant belly.  The beautiful essence of motherhood looks out at the audience, a mere breath away, and announces: “Yea, I pee a little when I sneeze.”  So begins one of the monologues in Love, What’s your perspective?  A montage of original monologues from local writers presented for your viewing pleasure starting January 28th. Love is a collection of interpretations from local writers, actors, musicians & artists, on the subject of love. This is an evening of theater showcasing the many talented voices within our own community, from behind the typewriter to performing in the spotlight on the stage. All of the proceeds from this production will benefit The Player's Ring.

“We wanted to build a community of artists supporting each other, and we thought the best subject to do that would be Love,” explains director and producer Danica Carlson.

The monologue about pregnancy is just one contribution from the award-winning writer of Sharp Dressed Men, Greg Gaskell.  He has also included a monologue titled Bromance that stars Seacoast favorites Jamie Bradley and Tobin Moss.  These are just two of the original pieces from local writers that will be presented January 28th and 29th 8pm,
January 30th at 2pm, Feburary 11th and12th at 8pm
and February 13th at 2pm.
