Bowzer of Sha Na NaMARK YOUR CALENDAR

Wowzer, it’s the real Bowzer. The world famous rocker with The Stingrays and Rocky & The Rollers shakes, rattles and rolls the house down with a rip-roaring Rock ‘n’ Roll Party at the Rochester Opera House on Saturday, April 9 at 8:00 PM.  (Continued below)

This dance-in-your-seat rock ‘n’ roll and doo wop concert, led by the bedazzling Bowzer cannot be beat, according to the Rochester Opera house. Jon Bauman created the character Bowzer, the ultimate greaser, and led his pack to the wildly popular television show Sha Na Na, which became #1 in syndication in America at that time.  The multi-talented, chameleon-like Bauman is a man of many colors;  child piano prodigy,  game show host, VJ on VH-1, author and host of the twelve-part series The Story of Rock ‘n’ Roll, producer of the ten-part series The Golden Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll and he is, of course…Bowzer.

Seacoast rock ‘n’ rollers will remember Cardinal’s Restaurant’s wild, packed-house dance parties, whenever Rocky & the Rollers came to town. Well, they’re back and lookin’ for all their fans! The Rollers have toured around the world as back-up for artists like the Drifters, Davey Jones, the Platters, Gary Puckett and Peter Noone.
