PORTSMOUTH -- Featuring vocal ensemble Cantus and Theater Latte Da By Peter Rothstein, musical arrangements by Erick Lichte & Timothy C. Takach

This New England premiere of an acclaimed new production reminds us of the power of music to make peace even in wartime. Using professional actors and the superb vocal ensemble Cantus, this true story takes the letters, journals, and songs of the Christmas Truce of 1914 and re-creates a magical night of peace here in Portsmouth. The Music Hall, along with the Guthrie Theater and Arizona Repertory, are proud to bring the live production of this show that will be broadcast on Christmas Day on over 400 public radio stations in the United States, and on the BBC in Canada, England, Australia, and New Zealand. Portsmouth has a proud history as a peace center and this Christmas lives it again.
