Hear tales of the "Merchants and Madams, Sailors and Immigrants" that mingled in Portsmouth at the turn of the 20th century (late 1800's and early 1900's). You'll learn how bordellos and bars that catered to both sailors and politicians were allowed to exist and were eventually put out of business and then "swept under the carpet" when Portsmouth's pristine Prescott Park and Strawbery Banke Museum were created. Tour lasts about an hour. Twilight Tour - Thursday through Saturday and Monday at 5:30 PM
