The Gundalow Company is recruiting volunteer educators to share their love of learning and experience lovely mornings on the shores of
No experience is necessary, just an enthusiasm for young learners and for the Bay. The first training session will be held aboard the gundalow on Wednesday, September 5 beginning at 10:30 AM. Please RSVP by calling 603-433-9505.
Gundalows were once the primary mode of transporting cargo to tidewater towns in the Piscataqua Region; now the Captain Adams is used as a dockside platform for maritime heritage and environmental education in those same towns. School groups, community organizations, and summer campers are welcome aboard for special programs and the gundalow is open to the public in each town. Additionally, the Gundalow Company operates the sailing vessel Piscataqua, which offers public sails and also serves as a floating classroom for area school and youth groups.
