Strawbery Banke Presents
HISTORIC PORTSMOUTH #18

Customers at Benjamin Green’s drug store in Market Square in 1895 asked the clerk for remedies kept behind the counter. Today a coffee shop, Green’s then sported a classy tin ceiling and gas and electrical fixtures. A dot in the middle of the photo, when enlarged, shows the mirrored reflection of the camera.
