Skyhaven Airport

Ossipee Valley Aviation can provide you with a wide variety of services, from airplane rides and private pilot training to business and corporate services. Skyhaven Airport serves private plane users in Rochester and Strafford County and is owned by the State Of NH Aero Commission. Rochester is close to the NH and Southern Maine coasts and does offer scenic rides. The paved runway extends for 4000 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 322 feet at a distance of about 3 miles from Rochester. Also offers flying lessons and is the home base od the Skyhaven Flying Club.

DIRECTIONS: From the south: Take Rt. 16 to exit 9. Take a right off the exit to the four way intersection. At the intersection take a left. This puts you on Rt. 108. Skyhaven is located about 4.5 miles from the four way intersection on your right, just past the Granite State Business Park.

Pease International

Pease Airport started its long history as a 300 acre municipal airport in the 1930s. Today the Pease International Tradeport offers passenger airline service via Pan Am (see separate listing on Goseacoast) and private services. This link connects you with the airport facility, not the air liner. Formerly Pease Air Force Base, the U.S. Navy started using the airport during World War II. Pease Airport opened for civilian use in 1991 and became an FAA certified airport under FAR Part 139 in October 1992. Pease is home to the New Hampshire Air National Guard which flies KC-135R air refueling aircraft. The Air Traffic Control Tower is staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The airport has all new airfield facilities and pavements including an ILS approach to both runways.

Manchester Airport

NH seacoast visitors are finding this expanded facility as an increasing alternative to Boston traffic since the distance is comparable. With the addition of eight new airlines since 1998, passenger activity at Manchester Airport has risen 200% in the last three years. In 2000, the airport welcomed 3.2 million passengers. Manchester's modern 228,000 square foot passenger terminal offers many airport amenities normally found at only major hub airports. The Granite Club, an airport-run frequent flyer lounge, offers air travelers a conference room, computer port work stations, photocopy and facsimile machines and secretarial services. Several food and news/gift concessions are located throughout the terminal. Car rental agencies are located within the terminal and buses, taxis, limousines and hotel courtesy shuttles can be found at the curb. Logan Airport

The airport boundary encompasses approximately 2,400 acres in East Boston, Massachusetts. Hampton Airfield

Privately owned and publicly used grass airfield not far from Hampton Beach. For private pilots, the runway is 2100 feet, has cockpit activated lights, and is on the NY sectional, but does not have an estimate approach. llemngth 2100, lights. C&J operates scheduled services between the Seacoast NH and MA to Logan Airport in Boston and Boston South Station. Its main station is the Portsmouth Transportation Center located at Pease Tradeport. C&J also has stops at the University of NH (UNH) in Durham and at Newburyport, MA.
