IN OCTOBER 2012

The Gundalow Company continues its Contemporary Coastal Issues and Concert series aboard the gundalow Piscataqua on October 11 and 12 with Peter Wellenberger and music from the trio Bliss.  Both sails take place from 4:30 – 6:00 pm. (See more October concerts and events below)

The October 11 sunset sail will feature Peter Wellenberger, the Great Bay-Piscataqua Waterkeeper with Conservation Law Foundation New Hampshire. For 22 years, Peter managed the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, where he worked within New Hampshire state government, and with federal-agency and NGO partners, to advance estuarine research and monitoring, habitat restoration, public education and outreach, and training of coastal decision-makers.

The Contemporary Coastal Issues series is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management under the Coastal Zone Management Act in conjunction with the NH Coastal Program and NH DES, and is free to the public.

October 12 will feature music from the trio Bliss; an acoustic ensemble playing soothing folk melodies. Bliss performs original music inspired by the stories of life.  Tickets for this sail are $35 for adults and $15 for youth.

The Piscataqua is docked in Prescott Park, next to the historic Sheafe Warehouse. Reservations can be made online atwww.gundalowtickets.org or at the gundalow office at 60 Marcy Street in Portsmouth, or by calling 603-433-9505.
