Goodwin Mansion

This early postcard shows the 1812 home of Gov Ichabod Goodwin and his wife Sarah Parker when it was still on Islington Street in Portsmouth, across from Goodwin Park, formerly Goodwin Field. The house was moved to Strawbery Banke Museum on the other side of town in 1963 where it may be seen by the public today. (Picture courtesy of Portsmouth Public Library).
