They’re a little bit country, and not at all rock n roll. This is country in the best sense of the word. The Radio Gang is simple honest music, the kind America used to hear on the radio on Saturday nights.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR February 27 Rochester, NH
Mac McHale and The Radio Gang return to the Rochester Opera House on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 7:00 PM for a rousing rendition of vintage America Country music. The Gang’s selections range from spirited fiddle tunes and train songs to gospel and moving ballads.
This simple and honest music, originally performed for live broadcast in grange halls, churches and schools, recaptures the mood in American history, when folks gathered together around the radio on a Saturday night. Bring your gang and join Mac’s Gang for a delightful evening of ol’ time fun!
The Radio Gang includes: Mac McHale of Kennebunk ME on guitar, banjo, mandolin & vocals; John Roc of Wells ME on mandolin, dobro, guitar & vocals; Sally Roc of Wells ME on bass & vocals; and Herman McGee of Kensington NH on five string banjo, guitar & vocals.
