Painting by Kathleen Brewster titledTHRU DECEMBER 1, 2013

This fall, Gallery 6 at the Children's Museum of NH will feature works by recent graduates of the University of New Hampshire Fine Arts Department. The show is titled "Beyond The Mirror" and will be on display at the museum from September 14 - December 1, 2013. (See details below)

Gallery 6 is generously supported by a grant from the Fuller Foundation. "Beyond The Mirror" features works created by Kathleen Brewster, Sarah Brewster, Cara Copeland, Mary Duke, Sophia Lupi, Loren Marple, Peter Schwaegerle, and Alex Smyrnos.

These young artists have several things in common: they are willing to take risks, they embrace challenges, and their developing “voices” reveal a fresh and personal perspective. Their works are based on the theme of self-portraiture, delving into the psychological realm as well as more literal representation.

The "Beyond The Mirror" exhibit can be viewed in Gallery 6 during regular business hours at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire: Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday noon – 5 pm. No admission fee is required to view the gallery only. Regular admission applies for families who wish to also explore the rest of the museum.
