As one of the most celebrated all-ages musicals ever, the production calls on the audience to escape to Neverland and experience the adventures of Peter Pan and his band of Lost Boys as they cross paths with the villainous Captain Hook. The musical captures the power of one boy's imagination as it takes flight and reminds us all of the joyful simplicity of childhood and the thrill of being young at heart.

"It's a wonderful magic and thrilling show that is perfect for the park," said Prescott Park Arts Festival executive director Ben Anderson, "I absolutely can't wait for the season to begin."

The production is directed by David Kaye, Head of Acting and Directing at the University of New Hampshire's department of Theatre and Dance, and features a full cast of talented actors. David Kaye was recently awarded the prestigious Leonidas A. Nickole Theatre Educator of the Year Award at the New England Theatre Conference.

Besides Peter Pan, the festival offers a full array of programs including the River House Restaurant Concert Series, music festivals, kids events, dance, and food festivals including the recently-created NH Fish and Lobster Festival.

The festival is currently accepting registrations for auditions for Peter Pan through its website. Auditions will be conducted on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Paul Creative Arts Center at the University of New Hampshire.

"We're pleased to announce our auditions will be held at UNH again this year," said Anderson, "They have an incredible facility and provided wonderful support to this organization."

Established in 1974, the Prescott Park Arts Festival is an independent non-profit organization that has reached more than 3.5 million people through 10,000 productions over the past 36 years.
