Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Hedwig"How did some slip of a girlieboy from communist East Berlin become the internationally ignored song stylist barely standing before you?" cries Hedwig. She will no longer be ignored in this production by Seacoast artists Aaron Hutto, Todd Hunter, and Whitney Smith, and running at The Players’ Ring May 15th through 30th. (Continued below)

Hunter and Smith are co-directing what they considered one of the most stylish musicals in history. John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask’s cult rock hit "Hedwig and The Angry Inch" appears at the Ring in May. Aaron Hutto performs the title character backed by the band Midnight Radio. Hutto brought this band together specifically for this project and they have been rehearsing for over a year.

The Players’ Ring will be transformed into the lobby of the Hotel Riverview, in NYC during the late 1990’s. The stage, normally a black box, will offer proscenium staging. This design allows the audience to directly face the raised stage to view the performance through the proscenium "arch".

"Hedwig and The Angry Inch" opens Friday May 14th and runs until May 30th at The Players’ Ring Theater. Be sure to grab your seats in the "Hotel Riverview lobby" and enjoy the show before this intimate rock concert is gone. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, and member discounts will apply.

Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 7:00 PM. For reservations call 603-436-8123 or purchase online at playersring.ticketleap.com.

Due to adult subject matter, this musical may not be suitable for all audiences.
