On the verge of releasing their first new studio album in many years, Groovechild’s appearance at the Rochester Opera House on Friday, July 17 at 8:00 PM will be the band’s only performance in the area this summer.   (Click title to read more) 

 If you are a Groovechild fan, don’t miss a note.  A limited number of exclusive VIP tickets are available, which get you up close and personal with the band. VIP seating (tables and chairs) includes the sound check at 6:00 PM, followed by a meet and greet at 7:00 PM and cocktail service at your table during the show.     

Groovechild exploded onto the early 90s scene with an out-of-the-ordinary rock/funk/jazz sound.  With the amazing playing of guitarist Bryan Killough and the powerful vocals of Jeff Bibbo creating their signature sound, the band welcomes back longtime bass player Nate Edgar (Nth Power, John Brown’s Body) and gifted drummer Nikki Glaspie (Nth Power, Dumpstafunk) to the line-up.  Glaspie has also performed with Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye West.  Doors open at 7:00 PM.  The nine-piece JazzFunk group Harsh Armadillo opens for Groovechild.

Flat floor with table and chair seating.  Handicap seating available in balcony, only.  Rochester Opera House is located in City Hall, 31 Wakefield Street, Rochester NH.  The Summer Rocks continues with The Tommy Experience, A Tribute to the Who 7/18 and Satisfaction!
