The house known today as theJohn Paul Jones House will celebrate its 256thyear with its first annual garden party and silent auction on Friday, September 5from 5-8PM.  All proceeds will benefit the John Paul Jones House Museum Capital Project and contributions will be doubled with a grant from theNew Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP)
 
The silent auction will include fabulous items such as dining, lodging, and theater packages, vacation getaways, historic private tours, and antiques. The garden party will offer cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and the crisp and sophisticated sounds of jazz trioDry Martinifeaturing drummer Terry MacDonald, guitarist/composer Marion Campos-Gullotti and bassist Jeff Lind. The trio’s repertoire is a thoughtfully chosen mix of tunes from the Great American Songbook, modern jazz standards, and Latin American gems.
