On Friday, August 22, two-time Grammy Award-winning blues legend Taj Mahal returns to the Wilcox Industries Main Stage at Prescott Park as part of the River House Restaurant concert Series. Mahal’s encore comes after last performing to a record crowd at the park in 2011. (click title for more) 

Celebrating his unbelievable fiftieth year of his staggering musical career, Henry Saint Clair Fredericks, better known as Taj Mahal, will set the air ablaze with his signature style and multi-instrumental talent.

Audience members can anticipate a once in a lifetime experience as Mahal brings together sounds from traditional Gospel, the Caribbean, Africa, the South Pacific, and his own personal history. Considered one of the most prominent and influential figures in late 20^th century blues and roots music, Taj Mahal is a self-taught singer-songwriter who plays the guitar, piano, banjo, and harmonica. Bringing more than half a century of experience, heart, and soul to the park, he is an artist that pushes the boundaries of expectation, using music to transform and inspire.

“It’s an unbelievable opportunity. Seeing Taj Mahal is something no one should miss...he is a living legend,” said Executive Director Ben Anderson.

Known for his unique picking style as well as his phenomenal talent, Mahal promises a show like none other, from a talent unmatched, for one unforgettable night.
