HEAR YE!
October 2009 -- This coming weekend, the Eagle Mountain House will be hosting on of the largest "collection" of international guests in its history with visitors from 25 different countries. This will be a milestone for the Eagle Mountain House and probably any hotel in the Mt. Washington Valley because of the sheer number of countries visiting one location at the same time.(Click to continue)
Each year fall foliage brings the world together in Jackson, New Hampshire, and in addition to the Eagle Mountain House’s many American visitors, twenty- four countries are expected to be in residence this coming weekend with only the continent of Antarctica not being represented:
UK France Portugal Denmark New Zealand Canada China Uganda Lebanon Taiwan Japan South Africa Egypt Switzerland Bulgaria Armenia Singapore Mexico Germany Malaysia Brazil Peru Ukraine India
What is more unique is the hotel’s international guest recognition program which flies the foreign flags of its guests in residence. With the Eagle’s array of incoming international guests, virtually every column on the 280 foot veranda will display the flag of a different nation during this fall weekend. Though the Eagle Mountain House has a large collection of worldly flags, they have placed an order for an emergency delivery of additional flags so not as to offend any of their arriving guests. The hotel will follow the United Nation’s etiquette of flying the flags in alphabetic order.
Historic NH Hotel Enacts Foliage Diplomacy
