Portsmouth Bus Line Expands Service to New York City

This isn't exactly history news, but considering all the increible historical stuff to see in NYC, we include it here. -- Editor -- C&J Bus Lines, one of New England's premier transportation providers, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its popular New York City Service. The company will add a third roundtrip on Fridays and Sundays effective August 1, 2014. (Click title for more) 

 The new departure will leave from Portsmouth at9:30AM, Tewksbury at10:20AM, arriving New York City at2:30PM. The new departure from the Big Apple will occur at4:30PM, returning to Tewksbury at8:45PM, and Portsmouth at9:30PMrespectively.  In anticipation of increased traffic the company has also ordered a 5thmotor coach which will be dedicated to the expanded service.

“We are excited about the tremendous demand for our executive class service to New York and the need to add a third schedule” said Jim Jalbert, President of C&J. “There is clearly a need for an alternative service to that of the Boston air shuttle or Amtrak which provides direct service to New York City without the hassle of changing modes or travelling via Boston.” Jalbert also stated that this is the first of several exciting changes which the company shall introduce later this year.

C&J’s New York service operates from Portsmouth, NH and Tewksbury, MA to the New York City Port Authority Bus Terminal in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The company transports passengers aboard a customized 30-passenger executive class motor coaches featuring two and one leather seating, power outlets at each seat, complimentary WiFi, tray tables, in-service seatback audio and feature, full-length movie. Another unique highlight will be the addition of a full self-service galley, located in the rear of the coach where passengers can enjoy complimentary refreshments. Other amenities include newspapers, headsets, pillows and blankets.
