Strawbery Banke Presents
HISTORIC PORTSMOUTH #119

History has left no details on rhese five young dandies posing with a pony cart on the waterfront at Mechanic Street in 1886. Old Ironsides is barely visible behind the hat of the man in the cart. Navy Yard shiphouses, an ancient warehouse and a crew rowing on the Piscataqua are also visible in the background.
