Actor Carleton Carpenter poses a young Anne Francis in the 1951 film "Whistle at Eaton Falls" by Newington-based filmmaker Louis de Rochemont. The film about a wildcat factory strike was shot largely in Portsmouth and Dover, NH and the surrounding seacoast. (Continued below)

 

 

 

 

The film (never released on video) also starred Lloyd Bridges and Ernest Borgnine. Carleton Carpenter was from Burlington , VT and also composed a song for the film. He is best known for singing two hit duets with Debbie Reynolds -- "Aba Daba Honeymoon" and "Row, Row Row". Anne Francis (who autographed this publicity photo) appeared in scores of popular films and TV shows. As private detective Honey West In her own 1965 TV series, she wore black skintight outfits and kept a pet ocelot. She may be best known for her role as Alta in the cult science fiction film "Forbidden Planet" with Leslie Nielsen and Robbie the Robot. Both actors are currently in retirement.
