Strawbery Banke Presents
HISTORIC PORTSMOUTH #136
Charles David Garland ran his West Rye general store from 1879 until the 1920s. Garland’s business shipped 15,000 bushels of potatoes and 300 tons of hay in a single year. His delivery wagon here carries some "cocoanut dainties", vanilla wafers and Quaker puffed cereal. How times don’t change.
